U-400 & U-400B Portable Body and Frame
Aligner
The modern, efficient
and profitable U-400 is a rugged, heavy duty unit that applies reverse
tension to restore dimensions and sheet metal smoothly, accurately. Its
smooth power often makes replacement of damaged sections unnecessary. The
U-400 is different because of the straight pull or push - horizontally or
vertically - with full power. Adapts to more jobs because of its
versatility. The unit can be taken apart and reassembled to do different
and tough jobs. The roller mounted Power Carriage glides easily under
pressure. It provides a straight pull or push. If a chain breaks or a
clamp slips, the wide wheel base keeps the unit on the floor and upright -
an important safety feature.
It rolls up close to the work and stays on the floor as power is applied.
After the full stroke of the ram, the Power Bar can be locked into
position, under tension, and the Jack Anchor moved forward for more push
or pull as needed. This multiple-action feature is a big time saver.

The U-400B consists
of the basic unit and accessories designed specifically for the U-400.
These accessories are what make the erector set principle possible.
Each piece is interchangeable. With these accessories you can build
the unit to push, pull, pull up, pull down, push up or push down and
make multiple hookups. Anchoring the unit is fast. You can extend the
unit, make high pulls and adapt it to many other possible
combinations. Truly a body man's erector set for collision repair. Wt:
